We should have started back earlier in the day, before the wind picked up!
Month: August 2018
Sunset at Sunset Harbor…
Sunset Harbor Marina
Celestial bodies tonight…
Britta & Jake visit from Harrison Maine! Seen here aboard Shellerina with Nick!
Fireworks tonight!
Anchored at Cedar, waiting for fireworks tonight. Nick joined us for the day!
The Salt Shack at Cedar Beach.
New mooring bit
I wanted something more capable than the single cleat up forward. The cleat is “hidden” behind the windlass, and would not be able to fit line greater than 1/2″. So this new mooring bit is a nice addition to the bow!
Sunrise at the marina
Rendevous at Sore Thumb with Marc…
Second Lobsters of this season with Mike Bendit
We took Mike on a boat ride after work tonight, on Shelly’s birthday. We landed at Salt Shack and got treated to our first Lobster of the season. Thanks Mike! Mike’s company, Software Development Resources, represents a number of software developers, including Facade Intereactive, a vendor of ours at H2M architects + engineers.
There are over 50 beach volleyball courts set up here at Cedar, most all booked weeknights for leagues. Unfortunately, it was the wrong night of the week to see my H2M co-workers competing here.
Cloudy Sunrise
Cedar Beach this morning…

The return to Shellerina’s Rock – August 6, 2018

We rented this little Boston Whaler for the afternoon so we could go visit some of our favorite places on the lake that we used to frequent.

Shellerina’s Rock is a 4 foot boulder in 8 feet of water, in the middle of a cove well protected from all the wake of boat traffic going up and down Long Lake.
.
Amphibious Boat/Car as seen here in Naples Maine while on vacation.
Naples is also known for its Seaplane Rides! It’s a lot of fun to navigate around all the cars and planes (and other boats) when visiting Naples Maine by boat!
Another nice one on Great South Bay after work.
I think we are going to stay out here tonight!
