Awake at Hemlock Cove

We anchored / rafted with our dockmates here at Hemlock Cove for last night.   What a beautiful morning!

Ahead of that, last night we met up with H2M co-worker Larry Feeley and his wife at Cedar Beach’s Beach Hut.

Earlier in the day Shelly and I enjoyed a healthy lunch and a Weight Watcher Bloody Mary…   9 points.

Today, Sunday, SIM V joined us for a picture perfect day on the hook.  It was great to have them along… an intimate part of the S-Dock family.   They are still learning the details of this big vessel.

Uncle Steve comes to visit!

We had a great visit with my brother, Nick’s uncle, Steve Sirois this weekend.   Once we got the crazy flight delays behind us on Friday night, we started having a great time all over Great South Bay.  Sea water temps at 75F made it really great to jump in.  Here is a picture of Ray for those who complain there aren’t enough pic of him on this blog.   Marc, captain of Precious Cargo looks on from his jet ski. We rafted up with him and Contingency on Sunday.

Independence Day

S-Dock was busy this afternoon with Precious Cargo and Contingency back from their cruise to Channel Club in NJ, plus Tina’s twin sister and husband Jack were visiting.

There were lots of private fireworks displays all around us at the dock after the sun went down.

Catnip?!

Yes.  Catnip.  A natural herb that repels Green Head flies.  Green heads  just started to mature and become an issue in Great South Bay.   (They are kinda like horseflies but smaller.)   This catnip spray has made it quite manageable!

Beautiful day.  We are anchored at Cedar Beach.
